In addition to FAPE violations, the issues involve failure to provide adequate supervision and a safe environment, which resulted in a violation of the student's civil rights. A2Z is pursuing other legal actions in that matter. The Due Process issues include placement, services and goals and objectives. The petitioner is seeking placement in a therapeutic day program with appropriate services, as well as compensatory education to address loss of educational benefit for the past year.
